Graphic tee with indie band vibes

Thankfully unrelated to WW2 despite the slightly alarming product name, the Axis tee from Deus kind of reminds us of mid-noughties indie band merch. It has that perfect vintage graphic design energy โ€“ clean typography and a logo that could easily be from some obscure record label or underground zine. The โ€˜Purveyors of Possibilitiesโ€™ tagline on the back is pure Deus philosophy, capturing that whole anything-can-happen mindset that makes their gear so appealing. Cut in a loose fit that's comfortable without going full-on Fresh Prince, the cotton and nylon jersey blend gives it a nice drape and means it'll hold its shape wash after wash. It's the sort of tee thatโ€™ll go perfectly with your rattiest jeans and a pint of snakebite black.

    • Loose fit short sleeve tee in cotton and nylon mix jersey
    • Front and back printed artwork with vintage-inspired graphics
    • Garment washed for soft hand feel and relaxed appearance
    • Durable jersey construction that maintains shape over time
    • Loose fit short sleeve T-shirt with front and back printed art
    • Cotton and nylon mix jersey fabrication
    • Garment wash finish
  • Deus runs slightly bigger so we would recommend sizing down from your usual size. Oversized styles run two sizes bigger than your usual size.

  • What do you get when you cross a legendary surfwear entrepreneur with a serious motorcycle addiction and a healthy disregard for tribal boundaries? Well, you get Deus ex Machina โ€“ the brand that's been proving since 2006 that there's no rule saying you can't love both the roar of a cafรฉ racer and the whisper of a perfect barrel.

Founded by Dare Jennings (he of iconic surf brand Mambo), Deus started life as a custom motorbike workshop and coffee house in the Sydney suburb of Camperdown. The radical idea? Instead of shoehorning people into outdoor tribes โ€“ bikers, surfers, skaters, cyclists or whatever โ€“ why not just celebrate whatever gets you fired up? Their workshop soon transformed into a โ€˜run-what-you-brungโ€™ social and creative space, known locally as the โ€˜Temple of Enthusiasmโ€™.

From those early days of engine oil, freshly brewed coffee and dawn raids on the Pacific Ocean, Deus has grown into a global phenomenon. Their clothing captures that same anything-goes spirit โ€“ sun-bleached graphics that look like they've survived their fair share of backroad adventures, vintage-inspired cuts that work equally well on the beach or in the workshop, and a lived-in aesthetic thatโ€™s catnip to the adventurous.Because at the end of the day, whether youโ€™re into one particular outdoor activity or all of them โ€“ as Deus would say, โ€˜it's all the same juiceโ€™.
